Our Holistic Approach to Colorado Landscaping and Cultural Practices

We are committed to maintaining and protecting Colorado’s natural beauty and health by being good stewards of the environment. Starting with each landscape, we work using environmentally-friendly practices and a holistic approach, focusing on the greater picture of the tree, its surroundings, soil, water, climate and light exposure to create optimal outdoor environments for your plants to thrive.

Minimum Pesticides

Donovan Arborists has the experience and knowledge to help you grow healthy trees and shrubs while reducing the need for pesticides. We understand that all trees and shrubs have slightly different requirements to grow and thrive, and managing these requirements often produces a healthier plant and minimizes the need for pesticides.

By focusing on cultural practices to reduce the use of traditional pesticides, such as taking the surrounding landscape layout and natural factors into consideration, we can create an optimal space for your trees and shrubs without the need for excessive and often unnecessary pesticide use.

“The Right Tree in the Right Place”

It all starts with planting the “Right Tree in the Right Place.” We help you choose the tree or shrub for your property that will flourish and have lower maintenance costs over the life of the plant. We can even help you lower your utility bills by planting trees correctly around your home.

Custom, Holistic Plant Health Care Programs for Trees and Shrubs

If you have an existing landscape, we help you manage your trees and shrubs to maximize their potential. We offer custom Plant Health Care Programs designed specifically for them, to ensure they are at their best for years to come. Our programs focus on ensuring optimal moisture, nutrients, biological soil activity and promoting a healthy root system. When possible, we use products that are safe for your family and pets.

Bee-Friendly

We are a bee-friendly company and work with local beekeepers to safely relocate honey bees. We feel this is important because the population of the honey bee is reported to be down almost 70% in the last ten years. Bees are important pollinators for flowers, food crops and fruit.

Commitment to Environmental Stewardship

With over 21 years of service in the Colorado Front Range, we’re more than ready to take on any project in an environmentally responsible manner. We care about Colorado’s natural environment and hold ourselves to the highest standards of stewardship. When landscapes are maintained properly, everyone can enjoy the great outdoors for years to come.
