Free Trees

For the past 30 years Denver nonprofit The Park People has operated a program called Denver Digs Trees. Originally conceived as a way for nurseries to dispose of a few trees after the planting season, today The Park People negotiates with area wholesale nurseries to acquire over 1.000 trees for distribution in the city. To date, the program has placed more than 51,000 trees throughout the community.
